Knick-Knack-Kerouac

Libellule

I want to plunge
keep ever falling
in love with you
my beatnik poet

As we ditch then hitch
chasing the Southern Cross
hiking to Aqua Calientes
kissing bliss at the Sun Gate

All the while
capturing each breath
sigh
in the freest most verse

Drifting fast asleep
my head in your lap
while you jit and jot
me into a lyric

Making raveled love
eye locked gazes
a tickle of whispers

your deftest tracings

Now that is what I call a poem. Starting sweet becoming quirky with a dash of passion and a sprinkle of charm this poem does what many can't and that is put affection in common terms that are so poetic. Loved it a fave
