New Moon

Damaso

Shadows dancing in the dawn
They rejoice,
They seem to mock me
At the side of my childhood home,
Burned
They look at me and laugh,
At our dreams,
At our wounds,
At every attempt,
At their sacrifice.

Powerful and full of sad emotion and grief. It is in such moments that all things seem to jeer. Well written

Thank you so much for your kind words during this difficult time. As you sometimes say, I wish it were a great hidden camera. Trying to vent a little, it's very kind of you to stop by and read. Best regards.
