Words of a Black Widow

Genesis

This empty feeling in my chest

why can’t I put it to rest

you tore me apart

I am forced to part

saw the longing in your eyes

the loving gaze

you chose to abandon it

the reason a maze

my cold heart you lit

inflamed it aches

melting in flames

you held me so dearly in your arms

and now you’re simply a fleeting memory of my mind

alas I try to forget to resign

you haunt my fleeting days,

my dawns, my dreams

Some people are not good for you. To know this would be quite helpful. Good write

Sadly you can’t always tell what’s behind the facade, until far too late. I haven’t gotten much feedback on my poems, so I don’t know how good my writing truly is. If you’re just being polite, its very sweet of you still, i’m flattered.

I never say something I don't mean. We all learn and improve with practice as a new poet this write was good.
