The Moon and Me

Michelle Buckley

A gentle moon lulls me to a restful, cleansing sleep,

Meteors create a sky symphony of dazzling delights;

The distant sound of the ocean waves calms my soul,

Melodic rain, pitter pattering, on the roof top, and windowpane.

Over the horizon comes the break of day,

Bringing with it a cool summer breeze that awakens the trees;

A fanfare of birds begins their chorus,

A kaleidoscope of colours and sounds surrounds me.

    A beautiful picture of nature is painted in this poem. Well worded images appear and fade and the flow is natural. Well done
