Reaching for sleep

Maplespal

Reaching for sleep

Starved of silence hurting ears,
painfully noise brings more tears.
Desperately blinded with no sight,
darkened on a crowded night.

Walking darkness surrounded by lies,
each noise makes me stop and cry.
Desperately trying to hear silences call,
crowded I trip to a darkened crawl.

Slowly avoiding the speakers ground,
blindly I'm crawling away from sound.
Reaching for the silence breaking through,
reaching for a cracks hopeful view.

Sometimes the noise around us is overwhelming and silence is peace. Yet in this I sense a deeper metaphor where silence is not just of sound. Lovely
