The Moon in My Heart

rmjhm.i

I miss true happiness.

I miss true happiness a lot,

like the sun misses moon after its rise.

But I'm no sun, as it doesn't bring sadness in disguise.

The moon does,

like I do,

because no matter how many stars are around,

the moon can't twinkle in sun eyes.

I am the moon,

the moon with craters in my heart,

wrecked with tragedy,

like they have always been my part.

And you would say that's not true,

but I implore you to believe,

because sadness has made a home in my heart,

like it's the only thing I can conceive.

Sadness in this poem and the feeling that things will not get any better. A poem without hope.
