Psalm 2

David Wakeling

God on high that cradles me,
Who Lights the way that I might see,
The one that takes my burdens in his stride,
And never punishes when I’ve tried.

Gracious Lord who comforts me in times of pain,
Shelters me from the falling rain,
Listen to the promises I give,
I pledge to follow you and truly live.

Father of all that blesses mankind,
Who loves the world both sighted and blind,
I need no guide with you at my side,
Let me worship your name and never hide.

Let Glory and Mercy from the heavens abound,
For the world is graced by God’s trumpet sound,
Let all know that old fears and worries shall never rise again,
For God has spoken and ended the eternal pain.
