The storm is behind me now
I'm back in the warmth
And in the light
The thunder in my head
Is so quiet now
Everything is alright
If this is a momentary still
Of a greater storm, then well
I'll take this minute
Afterall, I know deep down
Nothing last forever
Now doesnt it?
The rain cant hurt me, when
I'm inside of my home
Wrapped in the comfort of my bed
This is just a repeat, of
Past things I've done
And all I've said
Yet, every time is welcomed
When the other option
Is the wet and the cold
So give me a minute
In this temporary peace
It never gets old
And when the storm returns
And I'm soaked and hurt
Make that bed for me
Or just a warm coffee
Or a hug or a song
So that I may see
All the rain and the pain
All the days, so gray
That may come to hurt me
One minute in the light
I know I'll be alright
Another day I'll see
