Abyss

InTylerWeTrust

I sit, I stare into the Abyss.

The navy blue clashing with black, dotted with stars,

I sit.

Echoes of the past, whirling through grey matter,

I stare into the Abyss.

Uncountable distances that mirror our memories,

I sit.

Airily floating through this Universe, the one song,

I stare into the Abyss.

Being, feeling, knowing, seeing - sharing the experience,

I sit.

Quiet, yet full of the noises and sounds,

I stare into the Abyss.

Light bounces across the fabric of nature,

I sit.

Grasping at the memories and dreams we have,

I stare into the Abyss.

Us, one and all - now and forever,

I sit and stare into the Abyss.

  • Comment from author about the poem: I felt very free whilst writing this. It may appear a bit of a jumble of words with no connective meaning, but it felt right - every part of it felt right to me. I hope you all enjoy and get your own meaning from it.

A good use of repetition of the key phrase. Nicely done
