Lost in the Echo

Lost in the Echo

Woke up chasing fading dreams,
City lights and silent screams.
Footsteps echo down the hall,
A voice that I can’t hear at all.

Pages turn, but words won’t stay,
Memories slip and fade away.

Lost in the echo, calling your name,
Reaching for shadows that play the same.
Whispers of you still haunt the night,
But I can't hold on, no matter my fight.

Moonlight dances on the floor,
Love once felt, but now no more.
Every heartbeat sings your tune,
A melody drowned beneath the moon.

Pages turn, but words won’t stay,
Memories slip and fade away.

Lost in the echo, calling your name,
Reaching for shadows that play the same.
Whispers of you still haunt the night,
But I can't hold on, no matter my fight.

If time rewinds, would you be here?
Or just another ghost I fear?
Fading echoes, drifting slow,
A love once bright, now letting go.

So I whisper one last line,
Hoping you're still listening,
Somewhere in the echo’s chime.

A call out for a love in time echoes out of this poem. Nicely written
