Rumination, I Pray

maydanae

Rumination, the foundation

of the walls of my brain

I feel morbidly insane

As every window pane shatters

It clatters, my machine-gun heart

Shooting texts like bullets

The World's falling apart

Because I know that he's hurting

And now so am I

But while my words fill the screen

There's still no reply

Feel I'm pushing him further away

Castaway, on this love island we've found

Yet when life gives us lemons

Acid burns up the ground

But Lord, I want to keep him around

I feel safe and sound

When he shares my space

So if space is what he wants

I'll give him the Milky Way

All the Stars and the Planets

Then I'll be on my way

I really do love him

And Lord, I do pray

That I'll work more on me

And with Him I will stay

In this poem of doting love there is great rhyme internal and not that is a pepper to this steak giving it flavor. Nicely done
