Every melancholic crease

Pukur

Often at late midnights I ponder
about the life around me and its wonder.
What is that sound that I hear scarcely,
which does not allow me to sleep peacefully?

It is the whisper of my thoughts,
reminding of the things I have wrought,
and then slowly in a poetic way,
about my future it will say.

One day there will be peace and quiet,
there will be pillars of felicity raising their height,
I would be happy with my family,
The joyous chaos would be a welcomed uncertainty.

After the sun has set and I am staring through the window,
I plead silently to the stars, the sky and the green willow.
Let me be strong like my mother in the future,
Let me be wise enough to understand life’s conjecture.

Allow some mercy to my unstable mind,
Let me be filled with solace and a feeling so kind.
Above all, I sincerely hope for my hope to never cease,
for the resilience to overcome every melancholic crease.

I have my dreams, career and ambition,
all fueled by the purpose of education.
But when I would have had my fill of money.
I would want something sweeter than honey.

That, my love, is hope of the best kind,
that tomorrow awaits, something new to find.
I wish for a purpose of this transient being,
something to awaken my life’s meaning.

So let tomorrow come and please me in its own way.
I will make sure to utilize sun’s every powerful ray,
Beauty and felicity along with the dark nights,
I am positive darkness will be conquered by light.

A very nice poem about looking for the positive and accepting what life deals out as the best it could be. A lovely poem of striving for better but being happy with what is given. Loved it.
