Lost Together in Sound

We are lost together in a world of sound,
and forget the noise of humans.

We listen to our song,
and dissolve into a world where
it's just you, me, and us.

Your hand rests on my chest,
my hands resting on your waist,
my eyes looking into your eyes
Your eyes stare into mine,
we dance and slowly close our eyes.

As we dissolve into the world of our voices
I say love to you
but you say goodbye,
then slowly fade away in the handheld and the world.

"Will you love me in another world?"
                you asked at the last second.


I was lost in the world of sound,
trying to forget the noise of human sobs.

I listen to our song
I dissolve into the blue of sorrow,
now there is only me, me, and the wound.

I miss your soft hands,
and my hand imagines your soft hand.

I miss your gaze,
and my gaze imagines the twinkle of your beautiful eyes.
I dance with sadness and longing.
