shine with your light

Muse of Calliope

Shine with Your light, finally free

Shine with Your light, finally free

Hear us chant in the dark

Hear us calling Your name

In the Garden of Gethsemane

I have sinned in the dark

I've become so ashamed

Broke my promise to shine with Your light

I shine with Your light (x3)

You went on trial on the stand

We had mouths but no ears

We condemned You to all that is damned

But I run to Your arms;

to Your grace because I know

You forgave me to shine with Your light

I shine with Your light (x3)

Born to shine with Your light

What I call my weakness,

You call Your power

Cast my sins in the fire

If this is what its like to feel so free

Then light me,

Then light me,

Then light me up (x4)

This is all that is me;  woman,

weary but whole; woman unbound

No more room for fear

(no room for fear)

Daughter of Adonai

I believe in Your love

I am now bound to shine with Your light

I shine with Your light (x3)

Born to shine with Your light

What I call my weakness

You call Your power

Cast my sins in the fire

If this is what its like to feel so free

Daughter of Adonai

I believe in Your love

(I am now bound

to shine with Your light)

In the wind, in the rain,

In the silence You came,

oh,

To light me,

To light me,

To light me up   (x4)

Born to shine with Your light

What I call my weakness,

You call Your power

Cast my sins in the fire

If this is what its like to feel to free

Then light me,

Then light me,

Then light me up (x4)

  • Comment from author about the poem: I did a Christian cover of the song linked in the video. That may be controversial because the message of the two versions are somewhat opposed, but I thought the melody was really beautiful
