Memory of her

James Warren

The sun shines on this place

Daily I still see your face

Etched somehere in my mind

Eyes that peirce still

Through a veil of emptiness I feel

What is this pain that stabs

Deep a pit within my very soul

A fire you ingited that burns with fury

So in the cold I am warmed

A very nice metaphor and clever use of a mixture of literal and emotional meanings to create meaning in the last stanza. Loved the ending of this poem.
