Little boys and their toys

Neilton

Don't you know first impressions
Are always the best deceptions?
Haven't you heard boys
Only look at kids' toys ?
And they flip coins
To decide which one they will destroy?
Oh darling,
It seems to me
You fell behind in their tricks
Let me inform you dear kid!
They fly in the darkest skies
And mark their killings
Before they pay their visit
They come close
Before you know it
You are beguiled by their sins
So they steal and steal
Before you know it
You are naked and derelict

They are the best Archers
And the worst catchers
Obviously they didn't get love from their fathers
They throw their live arrows
While proclaiming sanctimonious vows
They shoot from far above
Cause if they come close
They know
everyone will see their bruised and crimson bones
They search their strongest clones
for their only wish is to be reenthroned
So be careful, cause scared, little boys
Hanker to decapitate their ugliest toys
Be careful
You might be their next compatible choice

A most wonderful metaphor with toys. Do they consider their romantic interests toys? I guess so. A most thought provoking and honest write.

i believe that teeenage boys sometimes see girls as toys because they dont care to actually get to know them !! Thank you for your review on my poem!

    • Poetic Licence

That is a very accurate write and sadly it is on the increase in this modern world, men seeing woman as disposable toys, nicely expressed and written

      • Neilton

I believe that too! In the modern world we see that very often! Thank you for your kind words !

True on the base level and so true extrapolated to other kindred configurations on life. Old boys with new toys in an endless cycle πŸ™πŸ»πŸ•ŠοΈ
