Heartbeat

Shaheer Agha

My heart has not seen joy in this world but only within my own world, the doors of my heart are shut; i still peak from the windows i left ajar, the colours of this world have faded, the sky doesn’t seem bright anymore, the rain doesn’t bring joy anymore, who would i welcome in my heart, all the faces i knew have turned blue and some never returned. My heart seeks whats already inside it for it has no more light to give to those who bring darkness. The lanterns are dead and the fireplace have a little fuel left, my heart doesn’t seek no more of it, but to sit peacefully with whats left of it. -SA

It seems that I have been there. Well worded and with such a familiar feel. Nice
