Perfectly imperfect

TTEUK

Within your gaze, a haven I could find,
Where 'perfectly imperfect' was defined,
And in that truth, my woman's spirit soared,
Confident and beautifully adored.
No flimsy metaphysical embrace,
Nor ontological blinkers held a place
Within the honest shelter of your sight,
Dispelling verbose nothings with your light.
Four years have gone, but in my heart you stay,
And happiness has wandered far away.
Yet by the fire's glow, I'll raise a glass,
To your honesty and warmth, that forever last."
