Always on Your Side
I’ll always stand right by your side,
Even when my tears won’t hide.
You talked behind me, loud and clear,
Those words still echo in my ear.
It hurt me deep, like sharp attack,
A pain that stabbed me in the back.
The laughs we shared, the days we knew—
I wish I could erase them too.
I want to break each memory down,
But pain just spins me round and round.
I try to hate, I try to cope,
But still I hold on to some hope.
I thought that I could call you friend,
But lies and whispers had no end.
Still, friendship means the world to me,
Even if you failed to see.
I might forgive the things you’ve done,
But forgetting? That’s a harder one.
And though my heart says, “Let it slide,”
It also screams, “You dumb-ass—why?”

A well written write of being hurt by a friend they trusted, and the conflict of weather to try and forgive and keep the friendship or just let it go, very relatable to many, nicely expressed and written
Thank for this meaningful comment
You are very welcome
Ah the conflict between the pros and cons of holding on and letting go. Nicely written
Excellent write
