There are five different types of love-
Romantic love,
Friendship love,
Familial love,
Unconditional love,
Finally, self-love.
Love is a complicated concept,
I don't quite understand.
There are two loves I'm familiar with,
Friendship and Unconditional.
I have love for my friends,
That turns into unconditional love.
I'm not as familiar with the rest.
Romance,
Family,
Self-love...
They are hard to come by.
Someday, I'll experience them.
I long for romantic love.
I need to work on self-love,
Before I can share love with someone else.
Romantic love-
A strange, alluring mystery.
It's different from having a crush.
Yet I feel romance to be
Emotionally taxing.
In relationships,
You play the 50/50 game.
"There's plenty of fish in the sea."
So they say.
Many years of dating,
That turns into marriage.
How admirable,
An ideal custom.
Yet, I yearn for romance.
It seems worth it.
Some grew up with familial love,
Some did not.
I won't understand this,
Until I have a child.
And so I return to where I began-
Love is no less complicated,
But maybe that's what makes it real.

What we call love has so many aspects all under one word. Everyone confused by its generalization say they love and no one knows what they mean. A great write
I don't understand love, and I am okay with that! 🙂
Such a true write, if we are honest none of us really understand what love is and the many sides to it, nicely written, enjoyed the read
