Truth about Lies

Libellule

Even behind this genuine disguise
I still can see the truth about lies
how each one speaks its own truth
ever since my bittersweet youth

When I broke everything I fixed
everything in between and betwixt
just to get some attention...
devoid of any haughty pretension

Only wanting to be pampered
by all that had ever hampered
these things that I dared tried
welled up eyes that never cried

But such is the way of the world
when this cyclone is then unfurled
unleashed for all to now see...
the truest lie about fake authenticity

That no matter how truly gory
lying in poetry makes a better story
gives a quick glimpse of verity

the hypocrisy of sincere insincerity

Words of truth skillfully woven into a tapestry poetic. Very nicely done
