Lost Myself

Sassy Lou

Determined, autonomous, tenacious

Compassionate, devoted, elated

The woman who I want to knew

Docile, fitted, yielding

Hard-hearted, languorous, perfidious

The woman who I have become

Day by day, month by month

Slowly changing into someone I don't recognize

Who Am I?

Where did I go?

Striving to be who I once was

Carefree to the world

The woman people looked up to

Apathetic to everyone & everything

Melancholy to the world

The woman who was marginalized by the young & old

Who Am I?

Where did I go?

I just want to bring back the woman I once knew before

A poem of change either in the direction not desired or to return to what one once was and still desired. This dichotomy makes the poem. Very nicely written

A touching write of a plea to return to the person they once was, and not liking what they currently have become, nicely expressed and written
