We burnt way too bright
Lovers in the night
A single comets tail
Across lifes sky.
Moments that we shared
Times when we cared
Now lost in broken fingers
Of times clenched hand.
We never can forgive
No live and let live
We burnt too bright
A falling shooting star.
We both bear the scars
Its echoed in our sighs
Etched within the pages
Of an aching heart.
Another evening set to fall
Shadows often call
To castles in the darkness
Protecting walls.
Certain thoughts arise
Lovelight in the eyes
Of a distant grieving memory
Rising from the dead.
Time to say goodbye
No more tears cried
We burnt too bright
A single comets tail.

There is a melancholy and sense of sadness in this poem over days past and loves now burnt out. A wonderful write
