I am sad, alone, and lost.
I should have known,
Should have counted the cost;
I am sad, alone, and lost.
Again, again; again I am tossed
Until, until, my eyes they are glossed
And in the abyss, all covered in frost
I am sad, alone, and lost.

A poem of extreme isolation and alienation. Feelings of being lost and without meaning. Very well expressed.
Thank you soren
Surely transported me back to those cold dark days! Splendid πππ»
Thank you arqios! What a peculiar time the lockdown was.
Indeed it was. In a way it helped clarify poetry in my life. Itβs one of the first of the arts to get cast away but Covid had something else coming. ππ»π
