Steadfast

Muse of Calliope

Steadfast love I used to know

But that was many years ago.

I knew it once, then I knew it not-

For all that it was, I forgot.

I used to sing, I used to laugh,

I used to dance all day;

Now I don't even have

The strength left to pray.

    Simple in structure and wording it is short yet conveys its message well. The meter is good and it flows well off the tongue a fave
