Like a Midnight rose

Reynaldo Casison

Like a Midnight rose

I can sigh It again and again

That I love you

Yet perhaps the tears

In our eyes

With its Sweet rain

Sings It All the more Sweeter

While the Moonlight

Pours Its champagne

I can sigh It again and again

Like a Midnight rose

With the Moon In Luminous repose

And the diamond sparkle

In your Pretty exotic eyes

Shimmers In the Moonlit waterfalls

Of your Ballerina soul

We can sigh It again and again

With the Heavenly sighs

of Summer roses

And the Sweet rain of Evenings

That always we love one another

And the Crescents of our Love

Feel all the more Whole

Deep and Sweet withIn Our souls
