End

MatPie

The world is crippled
With humanity and evil
A paralyzed stage
Walking mass psychosis
Fading flickering lights
A public choreography
Of a haunting plague

Dictators rape
Murderers kill countries
Every thief escapes
Dry rain falls

The sewers are boiling
From Apollyon's tears

A sense of belonging
In the depths of
A black hole
In luring isolation

Each soul aches
To be devoured
Heaven is a prison

Sisyphus is dead
Nothing ever lasts
A corpse of a God
Lingers in space.

The title well fitting this poem speaks of the temporal nature of all. Nicely imaged and worded it leaves a sense of hopelessness. Well done

  • Poetic Licence

A well written write at the current state of the world and the feeling of hopelessness that many have, nicely expressed
