It Was By The See by Igor Severyanin

Ksey_Gan

It was by the sea, where the lacy melts foam,

Where a city carriage is rarely found there..

The queen played — in the castle tower — Chopin,

And, listening to Chopin, the page fell in love with her.

It was all very simple, it was all very sweet cadge:

The queen asked to cut of a scarlet pгomegranate,

And gave one half, and exhausted the young page,

And fell in love with the page, all in the motives of sonatas.

And then she gave herself, gave herself thunderously,

Until dawn the mistress slept like a slave…

It was by the sea, where the wave is turquoisely

Where the lacy foam and the page sonata plays.
