THE NAKED GODDESS

nephilim56 ( Norman Dickson)

The naked goddess
Surveys the twilight
Upon the mountains
Steep recline
Moonlight in a sigh
Destined alone to die.

The pendulum
In spittle and dust
Sings Prophets praises
Dawn to dusk
Hard stone to weep
Fallen fruit to sleep.

A blinded island
Rides a rainbow
The seeker yet to find
A strangers open arms
Or merely thoughts
Left far behind.

Deep thoughts the cycle of death and life seems to be portrayed here and the issue of time. Nicely written in rhyme.
