Melancholy Colored Blue

analogaddict

You are the arrow and I am the bow

Drawn and taunt the bow string released

Fly away with aim so true

Free to live the life meant for you

Sadness seeps in

As I I realize my task is done

Comes the time to gently let go

As I watch you soar and feel you grow

I know what feels right

That my purpose is filled

But my love for you

Is melancholy colored blue

I will love you forever

Not just this life

Nor the next one of mine

But Truly, so truly till the end of time

But that matters not

At least not to you

So fly high and live free

Now and again please think of me

Very nice worded well speaking of letting go when needed. One needs to know one's limits and when it is better to cut one's losses.

I know all to well letting go of your real love is one of the hardest things to do, but if you love them you have to, and let them be happy and do as they choose, then hopefully in time the memories will be good on both sides, nicely expressed and written
