THAT NOSTALGIC FEELING

@merci

That nostalgic ache for what might have been—
Once nothing, now everything.
A past I cling to,
A memory I cradle,
A regret etched in forever.

How deeply I would have cherished you,
But I chose to let you go.
Now I'm left with the cold wind
That once warmed the space you filled—
A home you no longer occupy.

All that remains is a fading trace:
Your scent, your touch, your kisses.
And the hollow echo of your absence—
A void no one else can fill.

I miss you.

    Such a common theme but so cleverly imaged and worded that it deserves a fave for this alone. I can feel this poem and its intensity another reason for the fave. Well done
