My Impatience

Tayama

My impatient heart is a fire that forever burns
with kindling from a broken soul.
Where is the sweet water that will smother what burns and cease the scars it leaves?
As badges of victory for the dark.
Where is the water of everlasting life?
Will I reside in it like a soothing balm that in now anew...erases the wretched flesh I once so knew?
Will I ever know the patience I need to be free of what burns in my heart, my mind, my soul?
When God and what He offers me becomes my weapon against what tortures me.
For in the purty of His water, His foe does not live.
For he is as impatient as I...
Yet now...with the friend that loves me...maybe not I?
Never again to be scarred by what loathes Thee.
For in me it is now the Father....who I worship and believe.
