If you really want to do it, that's nice.

... but don't fall on your sword for me.

Don't try to sugar coat anything,

when you have bad news for me.

Because being condescending,

is the worst you could ever be.

    I hear a strong plea for honesty in this poem that cries out for knowing where a person stands. Nicely written in verse.
