The Guardian of Time

Violet_Writes

Time marches on, we cannot stay,
It sees what’s lost along the way.
It waits in silence, strong yet kind,
As we push forward, trapped in mind.

Time’s a treasure, vast and bright,
A warning, wisdom, guiding light.
Beyond our reach, yet in its hands,
It holds the fate of life's demands.

It closes doors that bring us pain,
And lets the good ones still remain.
It stretches joy and ends the fight,
It knows what’s wrong and what is right.

Though many scorn it, turn away,
And curse the years that slip and stray,
Time remains, a patient friend,
Its kindness shown as wounds mend.

I once refused, I ran, I fled,
I mourned the past, embraced my dread.
But time was there, though I was blind,
It healed my heart, my soul, my mind.

Time’s much more than we may see,
It’s love, it’s hope, it sets us free.

A lovely write about something we all feel there is never enough off, if we stepped back and looked, there is more than enough, enjoyed the read, nicely written and expressed
