Hiding in the light

DREEK0

Running, running running, towards the light

Afraid to be judged by those hiding in plain sight

Fighting to be accepted by the deceptive using shame as their weapon

Their bullets only faze because they neglect to question the reason they’re tempted

Represented by the metaphor of essential stagnation

Yet to repent or have and cast the stone in damnation

While the willing anticipate retaliation

No waiting only creation from the abusive frustration

Let the void be the safe haven for the ones who have had their authenticity mistaken

Never fear those hiding in the light lying in the night

Let them fight for what’s right, fighting for life, projecting their spite

When the void opens up they’ll be dying to die

A few plays on words with rhyme plant deeper thoughts in the mind of the reader. Nicely done
