Unseen

Nicole Pritchard

The hardest thing to do

Is love someone who doesn't see

The best of you, the real you

They take and take, but truly never see

Their actions chip away

At all the good you hold dear

You give and give, but they don't care

Leaving you drained, your heart unclear

You deserve so much more

Than love that's unappreciated and worn

Don't give them the best of you

For in return, they'll only see it through

Their lens of indifference and pain

Leaving you to wonder if love's in vain

But know your worth, don't let it fade

You are seen, you are loved, in someone's gaze
