Always connected

BlessedbyGod

I’m going to open up to you and give you a little history of me ,
I’ve always felt trapped and have never really felt free ,
I’ve been overprotected and not allowed to have friends,
I’ve lived like that for 39 yrs and was at my wits end,
About 9 yrs ago I met an incredible man,
He helped me find myself and gave me a hand ,
He gave me the strength to leave the situation I was in ,
He showed me my worth and that I was able to win,
I left the situation and came to Florida to be his wife,
My mind got all messed up and I was confused and severed our relationship with a knife ,
We ended on not so good terms and it hurt me to the core ,
But now are on talking terms again and my heart is becoming whole again where it was once tore ,
Though we can only be friends- I’m thankful for the reach out ,
I’m grateful for the support and encouragement and for erasing my doubt ,
The trauma is still there but I can cope with it now ,
To show my appreciation- I don’t really know how
So I’m writing this piece for him to show him that I still care ,
And I’m thankful for the times we had and the things that we shared ,

God Puts people,
in our lives,
whether forever,
or just a short time,
not for your glory,
but for His.
So you can grow closer to Him,
no matter what you did.
Although there are,
no excuses to sin,
you're not expected,
to be perfect.
Just grow together in Him.
Do not worry,
about where you've been.
You'll reach Christ's upward call,
Don't worry about when.
I will love whoever,
God puts in my life.
Whether it be a best friend,
or a beautiful wife.
What we shared together was great:
intimacy and laughs.
Still... whether we walk them together or not,
we all have our own paths.

In a relationships
Ups and downs arise.
Some we get to manage,
Some be beyond management.
The trials put into our path
Might be mighty,
Might be manageable.
There is no way of telling
How the relationship will end.
While we seek comfort,
Support, care,
We can never tell how it will end.
Some relationships turn to burdens,
Dragging us down,
Instead of uplifting us.
We have no choice but to face it.

We may be just friends now,
but I'll always remember before,
and how I loved you so much,
and how we did so much more.
I know we should have talked more,
but I always loved having you by my side.
It was a feeling I loved so much,
and never wanted to hide.
So I didn't know how,
to express myself.
That was my biggest mistake.
It's never easy,
and it still isn't;
not even to this day.

The times that we shared was incredible ,
Unfortunately what happened between us was inevitable,
We was scared and was both relying on others ,
Me on friends from church and you on your mother,
I thought things would’ve been different but unfortunately we couldn’t be saved ,
We had big dreams and plans with the paths we paved ,
We will always have our memories and friendship that will last forever ,
Our God gave us a precious gift when He brought us together

Marriage is destiny,
Absolute destiny...
Since the day you were born,
Your partner has been chosen for you.
They might not even be born at that time,
But the time will come.
There is no way for you to run,
No place to run.
It's destiny.
What will happen in that union
Be beyond anyone's control :
"What will be SHALL be..."
We have no choice
But to sit back
And take it all.
The radical solution
Be divorce.
Only the lucky get a good
Shared life.
For most,
'Tis misery,
Hell...
The divorce rate says it all...
The rate keeps rising....
That statistic cannot lie...
Victims of domestic violence
Be the most to be pitied...
They be silent sufferers...
Not just women be victims
Of domestic violence....
Men, too, be victims...
From pride,
From ego,
They suffer in silence,
A silence that they carry with them,
Through life.
The scars be still with them
Even after divorce...
Divorce gives only partial solace...
If they talk
They make matters worse :
"What kind of man
Be thou ???..."
"Can't thou hit back ???"
It's hell,
Sheer hell...

Relationships have their share of ups and downs. It’s never easy to face trauma with no one around. Some claim they understand but do they really? Unless you’ve lived it yourself; how can you see it clearly? Some give advice when that’s not what is needed. Sometimes we better process trauma when we repeat it. One thing that remains true; our Heavenly Father loves us all and He can carry us through.

Let each of us search our heart, it's really up to you.
Strong are the forces that tear us apart, but what more can we do?
The heart is desperately wicked, or so I am told...
But when put through the furnace, is purified, like precious silver, and gold-
He knows all our secrets, it's just us and him, the answers to all our problems, always lie within.
