Life Is A Boxing Match

Shaunmatthewcpoetry

Life is a boxing match - Psychosis was my round 11,

Believing is round 12 - Thinking of God and Heaven.

Stepping from side to side and envisioning a TKO,

Gloves feeling quite heavy - He'll decide when I go.

I ducked and weaved - Knocked down a few times,

Legs are unsteady - The ropes are blurry lines.

Craving positivity - Casually keeping bad stuff out,

Rounding up numbers - Ready for the final bout.

My opponent is tough - The embodiment of evil,

Licking his lips - Lucifer, the devourer of people.

Firstly a commitment to their faith but a wonderfully crafted and entertaining write of humps and bumps we travel through our life, enjoyed the read
