Family

Keeter C

Family

Family you can not choose

Sometimes in your youth you wish you could distance.

Later as you grey you understand your blessing and their significance.

One day you will be gone or god forbid they.

At that point you understand your elders tried to show you the way.

It’s funny how age clarifies so

Many things.

So many have passed.

Hope some of their knowledge and wisdom I have retained.

A poem that emphasizes the value of those lost and those still here. A plea for acknowledgement of their wisdom and what they have left us. Nicely done
