Friendship

Sami Mulaj

Friendship

We keep two houses, one yard,

No fences, no gate.

We rejoice in who gets more sun,

Running together through meadows,

Leaving no stones or boundaries.

We await the rain without sorrow,

Bringing fruits in every season,

For you and me,

In winter and summer.

For tomorrow, oh for tomorrow...

It is not like bread,

We have left nothing behind.

Such a great metaphor that is well worded and with images that make sense. Nicely done
