NOTE TO SELF

MYSTROGWAPO

Dearest self, I address,

To express, to my heart's content,

The level and extent, of vanity,

And of sanity, in a world gone mad,

All this I must add, dearest self.

Dearest self, I cannot complain,

Though I seem plain, to the eye,

Beneath the dye, I am perfect,

This life I expect, to be a victor,

In every sector, dearest self.

Dearest self, you have endured,

Every problem procured, you solved,

This life you delved, to ascertain,

The fountain, that gives it meaning,

From the beginning, dearest self.

Dearest self, let me declare,

The pride I share, to be you,

You've come through, enough times,

For these rhymes, you deserve,

I pray you preserve, your dearest self.

Being grateful for oneself is a key foundation. Until one recognizes one's self worth one can not truly recognize the worth of others. Good write
