Coffee

BlessedbyGod

As I just got home from work , I’m sitting here drinking coffee ,

it relaxes me when I’m tensed up and feeling offee(hee hee)

I am remembering times of not long ago,

At an IHOP sharing my favorite cup with my favorite person you know ,

we had coffee and pancakes 🥞 it was so good,

we savored every bite as we knew we should ,

then to the beach we went after our last savoring cup ,

and had a nice long walk on the boardwalk all down and up ,

stopped for pizza and of course another coffee too ,

then we went home for a movie -Bullet Train  I believe it was that I watched with you ,

remembering those times sits forever in my heart

but with a cup of coffee it all did start

I like this piece. I especially liked the last four lines.
    Nothing is better than coffee.
    Persistence is key

Everything has a starting point. In this poem it evolves into a pleasant night. Lovely all from a cup of coffee

Exactly how it happened too , it was an incredible day we had

Some would say it's a caffein addiction, but not me, I'll never mention it. It's more like a way of life, a sustaining partner in crime, an eye-opening experience, or a
lousy excuse for a bad attitude. Here, you write how it can kick start a day of pleasant ventures. Remembering such things and how they intertwined with the coffee as you write, and I read, makes me want for another cuppa'.- Phil A.
