ONCE CALLED HEAVEN

Ferjohn Timung

ONCE CALLED HEAVEN

There was a land where peace would stay,

Where dawn would sing and children play.

They called it Heaven, pure and bright,

A world of love, bathed in light.

But hate crept in, a silent spell,

And turned that light to fire and hell.

Now ashes lie where flowers fell—

A place once Heaven, now called as Hell.

Yet deep beneath the darkened sky,

A seed of hope still dares to try.

It is the combination of the rhyme and wording of meaning that gets the fave on this one

A Lovely tender write that in the depths of hell there can still be a glimmer of hope, enjoyed the read

  • rebellion_in_sanity

Anguish of desecration conveyed very nicely
