I Human

Kevin Hulme

Notice of absence from Kevin Hulme
There will now be a short Intermission.
Our Sales Staff will be in all parts of my Webpage selling: Choc- Ices , Soft drinks and Pop Corn.

'Are you a Robot'?  I'm now daily asked:

Hell No , and a thousand and one times No.

So Versed in all Stanzas emotional,

Have I not borne life's Mutating Seasons?

Have I not loved until my mind has fused?

Like an after Image of the Sun glanced,

Her sweet face was there when I closed my eyes.

Love is the levels of Dante's descent;

Love is the joyous strains of Keatsian Verse.

And I've Brawled with Pain until left empty;

Mingled with Illness and his drab Cohorts;

Welcomed the Newly Born with open Smiles;

And wrung Hearts grief into the Family Plot.

Confusion and Doubt those Brothers in Arms,

Have hurled foul Confetti many a year.

Prick me do I not bleed all life's Cocktail;

An Emotional 'Punch' of Yes and No's,

The Prize Hangover for feeling too much;

A Murmuration of Conflicting thoughts.

So never ask if I'm a Soulless Droid,

A spawn of Asimov's fancy Musings;

It's an Insult to my Existence led,

And to the Creator of my being.
