Sea of Madness

KTay

I've been a little bit crazy

Lately

I've waded out too deep

I've been caught in a riptide

Pulling me further out to sea

Dragging me under

The current is too strong to fight

So I surrender

Letting the waves swallow the light

Falling into darkness

Below three thousand feet

It's so cold and lonely

In the void underneath

No one to save me

No one to even try

No one to talk to

Just the whispers in my mind

The pressure is building

I can feel it crushing me

It won't be much longer

As I pass ten thousand feet

There are sharks in the water

Circling round my veins

Waiting for the blood flow

Offering up their jagged blades

I just keep on drowning

My sinking grip on realities

Down into madness

The roughest of the seas

It won't be much longer

As I cross the abyssal line

Escaping to oblivion

The implosion of my mind

So well written and composed this poem in metaphor speaks to the soul of many. Graphic in its imagery it calls out of the depths. Lovely
