In fields of green, where heroes sleep,
A silent vigil, we softly keep.
For souls departed, and battles won,
Their memory shines, like the morning sun.
"A mournful cry, from hearts so deep,
For heroes in their endless sleep.
Though tears may fall, a bond remains,
Our souls connected, grief sustains."
To living veterans, scarred and bold,
Your stories whispered, never grow old.
In every sunrise, a chance to mend,
A grateful nation, until the end.
We raise our voices, a somber sound,
For those who stood, on sacred ground.
Though tears may fall, our spirits soar,
In honor of those, near and far
From fields of battle, to peaceful shore,
Your legacy lives, forevermore.
With every heartbeat, a promise made,
Their sacrifice, will never fade.
We raise our voices, a somber sound,
For those who stood, on sacred ground.
Though tears may fall, our spirits soar,
In honor of those, near and far
So let us sing, heart to heart
For fallen heroes, near and far
Their spirit lives, in you and me,
A piece of hope, for all to see.

A wonderful tribute in most poetic form. Good rhyme and easy flow made this poem nice to read. An enjoyable read.
