At the expense of peace of mind,
I, in the very least, tried to find,
Affection, I could repay in kind,
A heart, that's worth the grind.
At the price of peace of mind,
I undertook deeds I can't rewind,
Choices that made me so blind,
Disaster, to my fate, I did so bind.
At the cost of peace of mind,
I put personal concerns behind,
Gave up everything, i didn't mind,
Now my life is about to unwind.

A poem that tells its message in rhyme and speaks to the issue of regret and not being able to go back. Nicely said
A well written write that everything in life has a price, even thoughts and actions, nicely expressed and written
