The Gnosis

Ali Turner

My ship is no longer lost at sea

And now I hold my manifest

I once was blind but now I can see

In a faith repaid with interest

For I was always the treasure

Locked in the dragons vaults

In the presence of my pleasure

I forgive the fallen's faults

For I am now the phoenix risen from the fire

The falcon of our freedom and the eagle of hearts desire

Adam was my brother and Eve was my sister too

And we are all one family in the Gnosis of the true

Although full of religious images Biblical and Greek this poem speaks to a deeper issue that of self and the needed worship of it. Lovely

A lovely write although with religious reference's, I sense it's more about valueing and worshipping ones self, nicely expressed and written
