Fault in loyalty

DREEK0

Who’s loyal if no one is? we’ve all been pretenders how else would we be fooled by those who pretend

Why trust a friend before you trust your god

Who you riding for and why you holding the sliding doors?

A vessel to absorb someone else’s karma

No dharma for the inconvenient drama, remember only god can harm ya

What if they knew who you loved and why, would they stand by your darkness

Sharing garments throw shade on animosity, believed in their false hope and your heart darkened

Left with embarrassment and shame, after you opened your chest and shared your pain

Went home to hang your faith from the ledge of companions, abandoned when your life was tragic

Loyalty in man must be divine magic, sacrifice your morals for love in a brother or sister to weather the storm from the creator as your ignored

Jaw and heart on the floor, empty from the core because you gave away all trust you were given by the eternal womb

Left looking for the tomb you placed your high hopes and desire for a real relationship

Running from nothing but inconsistency,
“They say” forgiveness is the remedy

Only one way to find out.

A powerful poem that speaks of pain and forgiveness. Forgiveness eases the pain of the one who forgives and clears their road. One must first forgive oneself. A lovely poem
