In this circus of Life, we have ring leaders, clowns and acrobats,
Feathered horses, brave lions jumping through fire and dancing cats.
Time is fired out of a canon and disappears in a blur,
While Love is tied to a target and sharp daggers are thrown at her.
A bold magician makes a lady vanish right before your eyes,
But all is well she will soon re-appear holding on to her lies.
A bewildered Elephant will be forced to stand on his back legs,
Teams of trained dogs in ballet dresses are rolling silver beer kegs.
The audience goes home satisfied, having seen a stunning show,
But are left with a question and a doubt hiding in a shadow.

And so is life itself. A great metaphor here and each example nicely worded. A fun read in its irony and a bit of dark humor in the sense that we are living it. Well done
The show must go on. Thank you mi amigo for you inspired critique. Always a joy
I travelled when I was younger with a circus for a while, the animals and people were treated better than the circus we live in, enjoyed the read
